Summer Menu

Looking for some fantastic dishes to try with our Syrah and Grenache?  Try our Summer Menu!


"Magic Dust" Steaks

  • Tri Tips or Steak
  • Hitching Post II "Magic Dust" Seasoning

When you are ready to grill, remove the steaks from the refrigerator so they can reach room temperature.  Season with Hitching Post II "Magic Dust" (available online).  Prepare, grill, and cook until desired temperature.

Tomatoes and Burrata

Slice tomatoes in 1/4 inch slices. Arrange on a platter. Slice Burrata, arrange on same platter.  (You can get good burrata at Costco!)   Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and a good olive oil. Fresh basil is also nice, sliced in thin ribbons. Leave at room temperature.


Corn on the Cob

  • Water
  • 1/2 cup Cream or Half and Half
  • 4 T Sugar
  • Salt and Pepper

In a large pot, add water, cream or half and half, sugar, and salt. Add corn. Bring to a boil and then turn off. Serve with butter, salt, and pepper.


Rice Pilaf

  • 3/4 cube of butter
  • 1 handful vermicelli or linguini
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 1 - 1/4 C Mahatma White Rice
  • 2 - 2 1/2 C Swanson's Chicken Broth

In a skillet with a lid, add butter. Add one handful vermicelli or linguini, broken up by hand. Stir over low heat, adding salt and pepper, until the pasta is just turning light brown. Add rice and stir until the rice begins to turn translucent. Next add chicken broth and bring to a boil.   Add more pepper and salt, to taste. The liquid should cover the rice. Once it comes to a boil, turn to low and cover.   Leave for 20-25 minutes.  Then check to see if rice is fluffy.   If not, add a little more liquid and continue cooking.  Once the rice is fluffy, turn off the heat and let sit for 25 minutes. Serve!!!
